UDC Gives Back to Flood Relief Efforts
We hope everyone is okay after the devastation that is Hurricane/Tropical Storm Harvey. We are extremely lucky and grateful that the studio sustains no damages and all the staff members are safe.
In this time of desperate needs for so many, including those in the dance and arts community, Uptown Dance would like to help and contribute to the relief efforts.
For the month of September 2017, all proceeds from our morning open classes (Monday/Wednesday classes with Adrian, Tuesday class with Alex and Friday class with Amy) will be donated to American Red Cross.
Morning open classes will resume on September 4, 2017, you may view full schedule here (http://uptowndancecentre.com/open-classes/).
To donate by credit card directly to American Red Cross:
If you donate prior to taking class, please check in with an UDC staff member with your donation receipt.
To artists and dance organizations who have lost their class or rehearsal spaces due to flood damages, Uptown Dance would be happy to work with you to provide practice space at our studio. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
The road to recovery can be long and difficult, but we are #HoustonStrong and #TexasStrong, and we will get through this together. Please continue to stay safe and let us know if UDC can help in any way.
October 4 Update:
We have concluded UDC’s campaign of Giving through Dance, and we raised closed to $1,000.00 for the hurricane/flood relief efforts. We sincerely thank everyone who came to class during the month of September 2017 and contributed to our campaign. And HUGE “thank yous” to our teachers who donated their earnings to the campaign.
