Uptown Dance Company is celebrating its 23rd anniversary!

Uptown Dance Company is a 501(c)3 non-profit professional dance company based in Houston, Texas. We present contemporary, diverse, and innovative choreography created to expand the imagination of dance audiences. Incorporating multiple genres of performance expression into a single professional company, UDC strives to break boundaries and provide a unique place for dancers and choreographers to convey their passion for the art we create.

Create Without Limitations
Uptown Dance Company places a special focus on introducing audience members and dancers alike to new choreography, regularly performing premieres by renowned local and national choreographers. Every dancer who is a member of the Uptown Dance Company must possess proficiency in multiple dance disciplines, including classical, contemporary, modern, and jazz. This commitment to multi-disciplinary studies provides Uptown Dance Company the artistic freedom to choreograph movement without limitations. We believe that artwork exists to expand limitations and horizons, and we approach every piece we perform with this belief.
