Uptown Dance Centre is celebrating its 23rd anniversary!

At the heart of Uptown Dance Centre, Houston’s premier dance school,

is our mission to

• train dancers of all ages and levels in order to bring them to their full potential as a dancer,

• foster a life-long love and appreciation of dance, and

• provide a quality performance experience which will instill confidence and poise.

As a ballet training school, we provide a broad range of classes for all ages. We combine the traditions and heritage of dance with the most current and innovative trends in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, modern, hip-hop, pas de deux, ballet variations, Pilates, and yoga. Uptown Dance Centre also offers open ballet classes for teens and adults in Houston; dancers of all skill levels and drop-ins are always welcome.

Every professional instructor UDC employs is trained in both the styles of his or her specialty and educational methods. Each is committed to excellence, discipline, and passion for the art of dance. Our state-of-the-art training facility and black box theater performance space is also home to Uptown Dance Company.
